From Tokyo with Shiseido to Silicon Valley with Hewlett Packard, I’ve seen first-hand how SAP holds immense possibilities for enterprises — often far beyond what they imagined possible. As the published author of three SAP ERP books — translated into English, Mandarin, and Spanish by Osborne McGrawHill — my work has reached tens of thousands of SAP-driven companies worldwide. "In 2019, I initiated FOCUS (First, One Connected and Unified Shiseido), a multi-year global business transformation program aimed at standardizing data, optimizing processes, and enhancing analytics. At the heart of FOCUS is the implementation of a single global instance of SAP S/4HANA, connecting people and technology across six regions and servicing customers in over 120 countries.
We partnered with Emphasys to optimize the enterprise architecture and integration of this highly complex S/4HANA program, which involved high transaction volumes and coordination across multiple time zones. Emphasys brought deep expertise and the practical know-how (e.g. middleware, coding, sizing, BTP, etc.) to optimize our technical SAP system landscape.
